The Company:
Our Client is a major international engineering and construction company with an ever-increasing global presence - this position will be supporting the growth of the Heavy Engineering Division in North and South America.

The Role:
Business Development Manager – Americas

My client is seeking a Business Development Manager in Houston, Texas to support its Heavy Engineering Division in marketing and growth of the business unit. This will be a senior level role and will have at least two to three managers directly reporting to them. Will actively be managing and seeking out new business and opening new key accounts for the Company.

Job Duties:

•Manage the Client’s Houston office and it’s employees
•Ascertaining business potential of critical equipment within Refineries/Petrochem/Fertilizer industries
•Stay updated on local policies and regulations
•Formulate a strategy to locate and secure new business opportunities
•Provide insight on pricing and assist in the negotiation and finalization of orders
•Network with key personnel within the industry and establish a good working relationship with various clients
•Attend various business forums and trade shows, representing the Company and networking/showcasing its abilities

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience/Qualifications:

•Degreed Engineer (Mechanical or Chemical) preferred
•Prior management experience required
•Experience within business development and marketing of critical equipment and systems for process industries (refineries, petrochemical, fertilizer) in North and/or South America is preferred
•Working knowledge of process industry in the United States would be an additional advantage
•Bilingual in Spanish and/or Portuguese a plus
•Good communicator, networker, negotiatior

Compensation: Competitive base salary plus fixed transportation/mobilization allowance, and a variable bonus are all included.
