Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:
Scope
The Business Project Manager - PDM Landscape & Group Integration is responsible to manage and lead the project which defines and implements the PDM strategy of the group on the business side in cooperation with a current project at the companies Group. The job holder is responsible for coordinating the input from all involved business functions, lead the project team, deriving and develop new and optimised processes based on the business needs, group strategy and the Group framework. He has to maintain a good relationship with the business functions, IT and relevant group projects. The job holder manages, plans, coordinates and steers the overall Project and associated topics according to the business requirements. Furthermore he has to ensure that the combined solution (processes, methods system) are cost efficient and aligned to the groups strategy.

Key Responsibilities
1. Project Management
- Planning, execution and closure of the project which defines and implements the PDM strategy of the group on the business side
- This includes the management of all the involved resources (people and budget), deliverables, business roll-out etc. assigned to the project, as well as project status reporting to the Project Steering Group, E-Circle and board
- Investment planning and management (planning round for investment)
- Management of change requests during the project
- Define, lead and manage the project team to develop new/optimised processes and methods
- Gather, develop, evaluate and approve requirements, use cases, business cases, test cases and all deliverables needed for the project in cooperation with the business functions, Group, brands and IT

2. Business Process Analysis
- Analyse BY-internal processes in the PDM/PLM area
- Analyse reference processes in that area (company Group, brands)
- Develop planned future processes and PDM strategy also based on business needs, Master Construction Plan and the groups strategy
- Derive future processes in conjunction with the possibilities of the system and framework of the Group
- Develop fit/gap analysis with recommendations, mitigation plan and business case (Business Impact Analysis) to ensure a fit to the groups strategy and a positive business case

3. Continuous Improvement
- Continuously improve business and project management processes at the company together with the business functions and IT to reduce waste activities

4. Communication
- Develop and manage communication strategy and plan considering the companies needs
- Identify and organise necessary resource and infrastructure to roll-out the communication strategy within the group
- Present and represent the project in the necessary committees within the group, other brands and suppliers

5. Management/Administration
- Chair and/or lead the project steering committee
- Organise and facilitate all necessary meetings/workshops with business functions and IT
- Planning and monitoring of project resources and skills
- Continuous project status monitoring and reporting
- Controlling additional requirements within the project (scope changes)
- Conducting project reviews

Qualifications
- Degree (or equivalent) in Computing, Engineering or relevant business related subject
- Proficiency in Technical German Language skills is preferable
- Experience of working in an automotive environment
- Demonstrable extensive experience of CAD and PDM/PLM processes and methods
- Advanced Project Management (e.g. Prince2 higher)


Previous Experience

Experience of successful delivery of process and IT projects in the PDM/PLM area
Experience in project management and process optimisation for projects of various sizes and complexities in the Automotive industry including planning and managing of deliverables, resources and budget
Proven knowledge of PDM/PLM processes and methods at an automotive company
Extensive knowledge of product development processes used in the automotive industry
Demonstrable knowledge of the integration of product development processes with other key processes (production, after sales, finance/controlling, purchase)
Demonstrable people management skills in motivating and mentoring others successfully at all levels
Extensive knowledge in management of change
Ability to organise and manage workload to reflect company priorities
Evidence of successful delivery of strategic projects with targets
Evidence of interpersonal skills appropriate to the role, good communication and influencing skills
Analytical and decision making skills
Understand and ability to demonstrate behaviours in line with the Group People Framework
PRACTICAL & TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
Demonstrable knowledge and application of Problem solving tools and techniques
Knowledge of continuous improvement methods
Understanding and applications of all required sign off legislative and environment requirements related to the specialisms
Microsoft Office products including Project and Visio
