The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Division: Materials Planning and Logistics

The Cost Detail Tracking Sheet is the cost management tool used by Electrical Purchasing to control the costs of all commodities across all new vehicle programmes.
The CDTS coordinator will be responsible;
For ensuring that every buyer maintains a master cross car line CDTS document per commodity.
To support the buyers in creating vehicle specific CDTS's from the master cross car line document.
For the updating of the CDTS in a timely manner to support the cross car line cost management meetings.
Key Responsibilities Interface between Electrical Purchasing and the CDTS development team ensuring all agreed updates / enhancements are implemented across all CDTSs.in conjunction with the PML Central point of contact for all CDTS issues. Ensure flow though of design changes between XCL CDTSs.
Ensure annual productivity has been applied as applicable to XCL CDTSs.
Responsible for the cloning of buyer master CDTSs and replicating XCL documents in SharePoint. Monitoring CDTS `activity by buyer prior to cost events and on an on-going basis.
Responsible for CDTS `readiness¿ to support programme cost reviews, interface to Programme Purchasing for cost report out schedule.
Interface between CDTS and Programme Redbook ensuring alignment of costs.
Responsible for ensuring the Buyer to Commodity structure / base part numbers are correct.
Buyer change of roles etc. Creation of new CDTS to support new technologies in conjunction with the buyer Provide support for system level CDTS part validation / costs

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Skills Required:
* A good communicator with the ability to influence effectively at all levels of the organisation.
* Good organisational and project management skills with attention to detail and deadlines.
* High standard of PC literacy, with a focus on excel.
* Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
* The ability to perform detailed data analysis is preferred.
* A current driving license is desirable.
* Respect for confidentiality is essential.
* Proven Purchasing experience
* Educated to 'A' level standard. PC literate with MS Office applications.
