The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
New Model Programme Buyer

* Represent purchasing to the programme during launch phase
* Co-ordinate supplier reviews to ensure supplier commitments to quality PSW delivery are met
* Manage programme communications to the wider purchasing team
* Manage appropriate escalation of sourcing, timing and cost issues
* Liaise with off shore team to ensure all purchase orders are placed within tight timelines
Support capacity planning activity

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Purchasing experience (preferably in Automotive)
* Project coordination
* Excel & Microsoft Office skills (MS Access an advantage)
* SAP knowledge an advantage
* Data analysis
* Ability to work at pace & manage multiple tasks
* Ability to take an objective through to completion self management
* Highly organised
* Ability to prepare, interpret & present data
* Confident telephone manner
* Ability to learn new IT operating systems
* Educated to A-Level or HNC/HND level

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience with Purchasing systems
