The Role:
My client is seeking multiple Purchasing professionals to work in a busy environment where prioritising workload, meeting deadlines and achieving value for money is expected.

Key Duties;
- Broad knowledge of procurement functions, forms of contract and procedures
- Contact a range of suppliers to obtain quotations, agree delivery times and place commitment based on price, quality and according to customer demand, company policy and budget
- Source alternative products and reviewing existing ones to ensure prices remain competitive with no compromise to quality
- Meets suppliers and negotiates the most favourable terms of contract
- Assesses the reliability of sub-contractors and suppliers
- Ensuring that equipment is delivered to the right place at the right time
- Managing the system generated GR/IR and Blocked Invoice reports ensuring that they are kept up to date
- Ability to work within an extremely busy department and cope with the pressure of meeting demanding targets and working to tight deadlines
- Liaise closely with personnel in other departments within the organisation.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- HNC or equivalent level
- Full CIPS membership
- Familiar with all Microsoft packages
- SAP experience desirable
- Sufficient experience gained in a purchasing environment
- Previous experience in the subsea sector of the oil and gas industry, UK oil & gas experience desirable
