The Company:
Our client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions the transmission and distribution industry

The Role:
The role requires a strong negotiator who will manage national service contracts across a national engineering business.

Key duties will include:

• Managing defined indirect commodities, reducing costs whilst maintaining service levels
• Tendering major indirect commodities across global markets
• Negotiating framework contracts for ongoing supply of national services
• Maintaining relationships with vendors and internal customers
• Managing the supply base to maximise value for business
• Reporting vendor / commodity performance at UK board level
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in sourcing and procurement systems
• Managing all areas of contractual risk
• Producing statistical data using ERP and other group tools as basis

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree (or equivalent) qualified
• CIPS membership or working towards or willingness to obtain CIPS
• 3 years plus experience in aggressive SCM environment (direct or indirect)
• Experience in managing Supply Chain for services / commodities
• Record of success in SCM disciplines
• Convincing and confident communicator & persuader
• Decision maker who thrives on change
• Analytical & data driven
