The Company:
Our Client has operations in the world’s most important oil and gas regions and are leaders in working in extremely difficult environments. They have interests in many offshore producing fields in the UK, including five operated fields and five partner-operated fields. The company also has interests in Denmark, the Faroe Islands, the Netherlands and Norway. The client is the largest private producer of oil in Kazakhstan and the top O&G producer in Thailand.

The Role:
Key Job Responsibilities:

Provide purchasing support for all CUE departments, onshore and offshore:
• Issue RFP requests, conduct bid analysis, award and expedite routine and complex purchase orders in line with Procurement Policy, ensuring placement within correct DOA and POA levels.
• Ensure any qualifications to Terms and Conditions are negotiated, liaising with Legal Counsel where necessary.
• Resolve Technical Queries (TQs) by liaising with technical authorities.
• Strive to achieve PR2PO (purchase requisition to purchase order) target of 5 days.
• Attend and participate in internal meetings e.g. Major Services.
• Bid, review and negotiate Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) as required.
• Ensure good communications are maintained with all customers.

Participate in Supplier Performance Management:
• Liaise with Manila buyers, assisting with any queries and approving purchase orders within POA.
• Contribute to Supply Chain Management value creation, improvement initiatives and delivery of KPIs.
• Ensure good communications are maintained with all customers.
• Engage with Category Teams regarding contract suppliers.
• Conduct FPAL performance reviews.
• Engage with suppliers re commercial and performance issues e.g. OTD (on time delivery), QA issues, invoice queries etc.
• Develop a technical understanding of key commodities.

Provide support and cover for other team members:
• Placement of repair orders.
• Attendance of morning calls with offshore platforms.
• Expediting of orders.
• Requests for air freight approvals.
• Issuing of shipping lists, liaising with warehouse and quayside.
• Co-ordination of material movements with supplier and freight forwarders to ensure on time delivery of materials.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Relevant experience in a similar position.
