The Role:
Provide day to day support to the business to ensure prompt and accurate purchase of materials.

Primary Functions:
•Provide prompt and accurate purchase of equipment, spare parts, consumables and chemicals via the SAP system, as appropriate.
•Conduct request for quotation, evaluation and negotiations.
•Ensure order is complete with details of freight, certification, customs information, contractual T&Cs and all relevant documentation attached for audit purposes.
•Provide daily support to Customers to ensure both technical and delivery requirements are met.
•Attend planning meetings.
•Liaise with UK Accounts Payable to ensure all purchase orders/invoices are paid in accordance with payment terms.
•Resolve technical queries by liaison with technical disciplines and vendors.
•Provide procurement expertise and SAP guidance to customers.
•Participate in and actively seek procurement synergy opportunities.
•Support procurement improvement initiatives.
•Provide a focal point for materials purchasing for all shutdowns/campaigns.
•Provide support and cover to other team members.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Good supply market knowledge.
Excellent SAP skills.
Strong communication skills and proven ability to interface with both internal and external clients at all levels.
Interpersonal skills that result in teamwork, influence, trust and strong relationships.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge of Supply Chain processes.
