The Role:
Accountabilities

- Provide a professional sourcing conduit between the Industry Supply chain and company internal customers to ensure materials are available when required.
- Compliance with all relevant Supply Chain policies and procedures.

Primary Functions:

• Provide prompt and accurate purchase of materials via the SAP system as appropriate.
• Conduct tender, evaluation and negotiations functions.
• Provide daily support to Customers to ensure both technical and delivery requirements are met.
• Liase daily with Logistics to quantify specific requirements.
• Attend planning meetings.
• Liase with Contracts Specialists to ensure alignment between materials and services.
• Liase with Norway Accounts Payable to ensure all purchase orders/invoices are paid in accordance with payment terms.
• Resolve technical queries by liaison with technical disciplines and vendors.
• Provide procurement expertise and SAP guidance to customers.
• Carry out expediting function as required.
• Actively engage with Customers to develop sourcing plans and strategies.
• Implement and manage key purchasing agreements by measuring and monitoring performance.
• Provision of procurement status reports to internal customers.
• Develop and provide statistical reports and measurements.
• Provide vendor verification for SAP.
• Participate in and actively seek procurement synergy opportunities.
• Support procurement improvement initiatives.
• Liase with MRP Controller to update material master prices and descriptions.
• Provide support and cover to other team members.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Good supply market knowledge.
- Excellent SAP skills in Purchasing/ Materials Management functionality.
- Strong communication skills and proven ability to interface with both internal and external clients at all levels.
- Interpersonal skills that result in teamwork, influence, trust and strong relationships.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Supply Chain processes
