The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Position Description:
Commodity buyer responsible for:-
- Sourcing new product in line with cycle plan.
- Controlling expenditure related to design, testing, goods and services.
- Cost improvement negotiations.
- Benchmarking of existing products.
- Managing relationship with suppliers on and off site.
- Development & implementation of commodity strategy.

Skills Required:
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Experience of end-to-end sourcing.
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal, PC literate.
- Ability to manage and deliver projects on time and in budget.
- Ability to work in a changing and challenging environment.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, proactive with ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Full driving license.

Skills Preferred:
- Flexible with respect to travel.

Experience Required:
- You will have an excellent track record of successful negotiation and an understanding of different sourcing techniques.

Experience Preferred:
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes.

Education Required:
- Degree or equivalent.

Education Preferred:
- Degree level of education or CIPS qualification is desirable but not mandatory.
