The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

Senior Buyer

Skills Required:
1) Work with internal stakeholders and suppliers to manage changes in programme assumptions, e.g.: volume, launch timing or shift pattern changes.
2) Ensure Multi- Part Agreement are in place between directed and Integrator suppliers.
3) Develop understanding of competitive cost levels for existing parts portfolio and develop strategies and negotiation work plans to achieve these in the business, pricing through negotiated settlement with suppliers,recognising the underlying business needs for material cost reduction as defined in the annual business plan expectations.
4) Project manage active resourcing actions with internal stakeholders and affected suppliers in order to ensure seamless transition.
5) Ensure supply base maintains agreed/ verified capacity to meet Company needs and actual delivery requirements. On occasion, when supplies are threatened or disrupted (in particular due to capacity shortfalls), the buyer assumes a coordination role, ensuring the affected parties within the Company and the supplier work together to deliver an action plan that restores continuity of supply.
