The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
CABIN & COCKPIT Lead Engineer / PMST role leading Introduction and development of new and modified features requested by Project Teams and end user Customers. The candidate will interface with both tier 1 suppliers and internal departments to ensure targets are met in the development of components for Interior Trim enhancements. MUST HAVE Engineering Design/ Development background within Automotive Trim or similar for Interior components, ideally having worked within both OEM and Tier 1 trim suppliers.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
1. Proven Automotive Interior TRIM experience, minimum 5-10 years working in industry at OEM or Tier 1 suppliers
2. Has broad experience with CABIN or COCKPIT product delivery. Can show good knowledge of working with multiple component range for INTERIOR trim
3. Can evidence with clear understanding of hard and soft trim delivery. Can Evidence Low to medium volume tooling experience including emerging technology applications

Degree in Engineering or comparable qualification.
General knowledge of automotive Trim Design, component manufacture and construction knowledge - with specific experience in automotive CABIN or COCKPIT delivery.
Conversant with applications for moulding / leather / Fabric / technical finishes.
Project management of designs ensuring timely releases for virtual series gateways and Tooling /Production releases.
Lead and co-ordinate the design and development of interior components from initial concept design through to Job 1 imp

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of at least 2-off the following CATIA V5 or Digi-Buck / Vis-Mock-up Plus Tce - Desirable, Experience of problem solving tools e.g. 6 panel, PPS (8D), FMEA, Robustness, etc. -and able to lead problem resolution projects.
Would be a DISTINCT ALL or most advantage to have the following: WERS /Efdevs trained. Ideally trained in RMDV PACN, AIMS, PPIR , 8D & DFMEA , plus working knowledge of the STA / PPAP PSW Process
