The Company:
Our client is a major global Oil and Gas EPC management company that can cover small Brownfield projects to major Greenfield projects.
They are a growth company who can serve as a Sole Supplier, Joint Venture or Subcontractor. With a proven track record of delivering large scale complex projects they are a progressive and attractive company.

The Role:
We are currently sourcing a CAD Coordinator (2D AutoCAD) to join the North West Office.

As part of a long term alliance with a major Oil & Gas client based in Kuwait we are undertaking FEED and detail design to support major revamp and modification projects modernizing the client’s production facilities at Wafra. Typical projects include gas processing plant, water injection and water treatment facilities, steam injection pilot plant and automation upgrades.

The candidate will be a CAD Coordinator (2D AutoCAD) with a substantial, recent and proven track record of onshore oil and gas, refinery, or petrochemical projects and should be able to demonstrate experience, in a similar and relevant position, and detail design work.

Good communication and presentation skills are essential.

The individual must be self-motivated, able to perform their duties with minimum supervision, and also be competent in the use of AutoCAD v12.

Core Responsibilities:
Independent layout of process plant and process piping design using Autocad with true regard to Safety and in compliance with national and Client Codes & Standards. Moreover, to be innovative in design work with due regard to minimisation of cost whilst maintaining technical integrity.
Co-ordinate transmission and receipt of drawings between Home Office and High Value Engineering Centre
Efficient interpretation of Clients, Licensors, other design disciplines and suppliers information to ensure project deadlines are met in a timely manner.
Participation in internal and external design reviews as required.

Specific Accountabilities to include some or all of:
Efficiently executing other CAD design activities as directed by the Project Lead Piping Engineer.

Ensure that the applicable company systems are used, that the relevant QA procedures and standards are followed and that the piping and layout design within his area of responsibility conforms to contract specific requirements and any applicable Client, company, national and international standards, design codes and legislation and raise deviations
where necessary.
Complete all work within the estimated manhour budget and in line with the project schedule, in a timely manner to ensure that project deadlines are met, maintaining own work progress (budget and schedule) and identifying scope change where necessary.
Liaise with other design disciplines and suppliers on technical and other piping design matters on a regular basis and in a professional manner
Working accurately and always within the provisions and guidelines of the Company Quality Assurance system or that relevant to the Project.
Safety – responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the Project. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
AutoCAD (essential)

Experience in Oil & Gas, refinery, or petrochemical, EPC Design Projects in a similar role and with similar design Clients and Design Contractors.

Broad expertise in process plant layout, pipework design, fabrication and erection, health, safety and environmental issues with some site survey experience.

Proven decision making and problem solving abilities

Proven record of client satisfaction

Excellent communication and coordination skills.

ONC min (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of academic qualifications
