The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The Pipes & hoses team are responsible for the detailed design of Brake pipes, Brake Hoses and Brake Vacuum distribution for all programmes. A high level CAD Engineer is required to produce detailed CAD models for these components. This involves complex routing installations requiring the CAD Engineer to model in both solids and surfaces. Working to the high CAD standards to ensure robust package routings and models will be key as is including all details to ensure the components can be manufactured. This role also includes release of components so an ability to produce detailed drawings through Teamcenter will be required Key Word Search Criteria: Catia V5 Team enter.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Proven ability to use CATIA V5 for both solid and surface modelling. Knowledge of Vehicle full systems packaging and parts integration. Engineering Knowledge to minimise weight & complexity whilst maintaining functionality. Proven ability to produce detailed drawings using CATIA V5. Good communication skills for vehicle cross- functional discussions. Substantial Hands-on Catia V5 experience - probably gained in an automotive environment. Substantial experience of vehicle packaging and complex systems installations using Catia V5 or similar. Substantial experience of producing detailed drawings in CATIA V5 or similar. Engineering Degree (preferably Automotive or Mechanical) A substantial track record in automotive packaging may be acceptable in exceptional cases in lieu of a degree.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Ability to use CATIA CAE function. Ability to use kinematics analysis (package checks). Ability to control and release components and drawings through Teamcenter. Experience of the mechanical design of Chassis components & Systems Knowledge of systems of benefit (Digibuck, TCE, WERS, MPNR).
