The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
This role is based within the ADAS team in Electrical Engineering.

The ADAS Team develops and delivers driver assistance systems and features based on video, radar and ultrasonic technologies such as: -
* Lane Departure Warning
* Lane Keeping Assist
* Automatic High Beam control
* Intelligent Emergency Braking
* Traffic Sign Recognition
* Intelligent Speed Limiter
* Rear View
* Junction View
* Cross Traffic Alert
* 360 degree Plan View
* Lane Change Merge Aid
* Park Assist

This Mechanical integration position will be within a team coordinated by a Group leader and will own/contribute to the following engineering tasks and deliverables. This includes: -
* Mechanical integration of new sensors and components
* Delivery of CAD based files to support integration
* Liaison with design studio and other stakeholders
* Direct contact with supplier (integration guidelines)

Key responsibilities
You will be responsible for the mechanical integration of specific ADAS commodities (sensor, ECU). You will have to liaise with main stakeholders; manage and resolve issues on your projects, escalating where required. You will support the reports of the project technical progress to ADAS management and support the introduction of improvements.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Skills from either a mechanical engineering or electrical background may be appropriate to this role. However the right candidate will have a thorough, broad based understanding of automotive systems. A particular knowledge of driver assistance systems is desirable. The successful applicant will need the following skills and qualifications:-
* Experience in Automotive Packaging/Mechanical Engineering
* Experience in automotive sensors packaging (preferred)
* Experience in automotive components packaging
* Experience in CAD tools: CATIA v5
* Experience in EDS
* Strong oral and written communication & IT skills
* Highly disciplined, analytical and self-committed
* Driven by passion for the automotive product

Applicants will have experience in automotive system engineering (Automotive OEM or Tier1) and have a Beng/Msc on Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Good understanding of PCS and design & delivery processes
* PhD or equivalent
