The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
CAD Engineer / Senior CAD Engineer As a CAD Engineer within JLR¿s Engineered-To-Order (ETO) Division you will be responsible for creating and revising technical designs, package studies and drawings working closely with colleagues in one or more of the following engineering areas: Accessories, Chassis, Body Exterior, Body Interior,. You will need to work closely with other departments and functions within JLR, as well as with a wide range of external companies.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Skills Required:
Formally trained in CATIA V5. Ability to use Teamcentre Vis Mockup. Good working knowledge of one or more of the following automotive vehicle systems eg. vehicle accessories, vehicle exteriors, vehicle interiors, vehicle electrical systems, electronics, chassis and powertrain. Good working knowledge of engineering principles relevant to the design, development, testing and manufacture of automotive products. Effective interpersonal and communication skills essential to working with a number of internal and external parties. PC Fluent (Email, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Skills Preferred:
Preparation and ownership of engineering release packs. Working knowledge of JLR issue tracking and release systems eg. AIMS, WERS Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, particularly tooling methods and lead-times. Working knowledge of one or more of the materials used in modern vehicles eg synthetic textiles, leather, veneers, plastics, metals, composites, foils and paint
