The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Trim & Final Virtual Factory engineer within the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Function. The Virtual Factory Team ensure that Factory Resource CAD representing Facilities, Jigs, Fixtures and Process tooling are available in CAD resource libraries. The majority of the work includes the receiving of data from suppliers and storage of it within client databases. A proportion or the work is liaison with process, facility and simulation engineers and model concept data to facilitate product, process and facility design activity. This requires a close understanding of production Trim & Final facilities and some level of involvement in early project design phase concept development.

Expected to be flexible around supporting the various midlands sites with occasional travel to Halewood. Midlands (Gaydon / Whitley / CB / Solihull)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
High level of computer literacy including CAD authoring, self-motivated, enthusiastic and effective problem solver. Equally capable of working well on own initiative and as part of a multi-disciplined team. Have well-developed communication, and organisational skills. Able to question, constructively challenge and look for creative ways to deliver against manufacturing feasibility issues.
Catia V5 / Team Centre Engineering / Vis-Mockup / Microsoft Office
Minimum ONC/HNC/Degree or 5 Years of experience in Manufacturing.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Appreciation of Product Creation Systems would be an advantage
Catia V6 / Delmia V6 / 3D AutoCAD / General understanding of Kinematic modelling principles / Familiarity with CAD data translation formats / 3 years Automotive experience
