The Company:
Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide

The Role:
To provide civil, mechanical and electrical drawings / designs and technical information related to the civil, mechanical and electrical elements of HVDC and HVAC projects in line with the requirements of the business and key clients.

The following reflect the main tasks associated with your position and are not intended to be exclusive or exhaustive.

• Working for and reporting directly to the Project Manager.
• Producing designs and technical information related to civil, mechanical and electrical elements of HVDC and HVAC projects in line with the requirements of the business and key clients
• Producing “As-built” drawings / installation drawings in a timely manner
• Operate CAD/AutoCAD MEP packages and associated computer software
• Undertake Site Surveys
• Undertake to assist the team where required through AutoCAD software packages
• Regular meetings with key clients to discuss the project and designs
• Regular meetings with internal design and operations teams
• Additional duties as and when required by General Manager

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a CAD Technician
• Familiar with the latest AutoCAD software and will be willing to learn new skills.
• This role will require travel from time to time in order to liaise with the client and the site based teams so flexibility and good time keeping are essential qualities.
• A demonstrable track record producing Civil, Mechanical or Electrical designs for High Voltage projects.
• Membership of one or more associated professional institutes would be advantageous.
• Significant experience within a similar environment, including at management level.
• Ability to work within a project team in a site based environment
• The ability to constructively solve problems both short-term and long-term in a site environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally, providing relevant reports.
