The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Development of vehicle crash structure (and associated components) using FEA to meet defined performance targets relating to frontal, side and rear impacts. Development of body structures (trimmed/un-trimmed), using FEA, to meet defined performance targets, specifically; global/localised stiffness and noise/vibration transfer functions. Able to run baseline CAE analysis, summarise results and feedback conclusions in an efficient manner. Able to work effectively with design teams to develop solutions within defined deadlines and time constraints. Have an awareness of potential design constraints (packaging, manufacturing etc.) and ensure due consideration is given in developing solutions.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Experience of working in the automotive industry.
* Very competent in automotive body (vehicle) development using engineering experience and CAE tools.
* Demonstrated experience in the delivery of body/vehicle performance development using CAE to meet defined performance targets.
* Requires supervision and/or assistance only where the issues or situation faced is highly complex and/or business critical.
* Competent in the use of: MSC Nastran (SOL101, 103, 108, 111) LS-Dyna and Oasys suite (Primer, T-His, D3plot) Hyperworks v12 (..mesh, ..graph, ..view) (or Ansa/Metapost as a suitable alternative)
* PC Skills
* Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
* Educated to a minimum of degree level in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical subject.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Familiarity and experience of working practices relating to CAE methods and processes.
* Familiarity and experience of CAD , TCE & Digibuck Familiarity of IT system
* Good communication skills - both written and spoken is essential.
