The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Working in a small team based in UK and India, responsibilities include:
- Moldflow CAE analysis to develop plastic molded parts, to meet defined design and manufacturing performance targets
- Assessments include; feed gate position, prediction of sink marks, weld lines, distortion and fibre orientation
- Manufacturing parameter optimisation using DOE
- Supplier monitoring and their adherence so Statements of Work, including checking supplier analysis and reports
- Project management including leading meetings, planning and presentation of CAE results and design proposals
- People management including mentoring, work plan delivery and resource allocation
- Continuous improvement of analysis and processes
- Technical capability growth
- Physical test support and test-to-CAE correlation

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
1) Expert in the use of Autodesk Moldflow analysis tool to analyse and optimise manufacturing parameters, as well a meshing tool to mesh body components
2) Knowledge of Injection moulding methods, types of machines, injection moulding tools and injection moulding gates required to be used to make design proposals
3) Management skills: Project planning. People mentoring and direction. Verbal and written presentation skills

- Component meshing and moldflow analysis
- Plastic moulding tool design
- Project management, People management
- Test to CAE correlation
- Educated to a minimum of degree level in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical subject

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Plastic molded component development using engineering experience and CAE tools
- Analysis and process improvement
- Use of moldflow analysis codes other than Autodesk CAD design
- Familiarity and experience of the clients working practices relating to CAE methods and processes
- Familiarity and experience of the clients CAD, TCE/iPLM tools
- Familiarity of the clients IT system Moldflow certification
