CAE Analyst - 31018
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.
FEA analysis of Brake and suspension system components & systems for modal, stiffness, strength, durability and refinement. Liaison with component engineers for latest design specifications. Identification of design proposals and component optimisation. Development of new methods and techniques to enhance the CAE capabilities in this area, with the objective of minimising physical prototype requirements. Correlation and programme reporting of CAE results. Preparation of gateway papers.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
3 KEY SKILLS
High level of knowledge of structural analysis and FEA methodologies.
The ability to utilise one, or more of the following codes - Simpack (MBS), Hyper mesh, Abacus A basic understanding of Chassis system performance requirements e.g. Durability & Reliability, NVH etc Strong mathematical skills, together with the ability to assess the appropriateness of results and guide the design
3+ years in one or more of the following codes: Simpack (MBS), Hypermesh, Abacus for linear and non-linear analysis
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience in the field of NVH analysis.
Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering (2:1 or higher).
Ideally post graduate research based PhD in CAE-based topic.
Experience presenting technical status at multiple levels.
