The Company:
We are currently looking for a CAE Analyst for one of our automotive clients in the Midlands.

The Role:
Development of automotive body structures using FEA to meet defined performance targets specifically for side & rear crash. Able to run baseline CAE analysis, summarise results , make design improvements recommendations and feedback conclusions to the Body CAE Crash Team Leader and the Design team in an efficient manner. Able to work effectively with design teams to develop solutions within defined deadlines and time constraints. Have an awareness of potential design constraints (packaging, manufacturing , C02 ,etc.) and ensure due consideration is given in developing solutions.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Ability to carry out development of automotive body structures using FEA to meet defined performance targets, specifically for side & rear crash. Able to build crash models of whole vehicle or sub-system using the includes structure. Able to run Safety/Crash CAE analysis, summarise results and feedback conclusions to the Body CAE Crash Team Leader in an efficient manner. Have an awareness of potential design constraints (packaging, manufacturing , C02 ,etc.) and ensure due consideration is given in developing solutions. Have adequate knowledge & experience in the development of automotive body structures for crashworthiness and load paths. Following software skills are essential: Ls-Dyna & Oasys suite (Primer, T-HIS, D3plot) Hyperworks (..mesh, ..graph, ..view) (ver. 9) PC Skills. Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Good communication skills - both written and spoken is essential.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Familiarity and experience of working practices relating to CAE methods and processes. Familiarity and experience of CAD, Tce & Digibuck.
