The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Development of automotive body structures using FEA, to meet defined performance targets, specifically for front , side & rear crash. Able to run baseline CAE analysis, summarise results and feedback conclusions to the Body CAE Crash Team & Program Leader in an efficient manner. Able to work effectively with design teams to develop solutions within defined deadlines and time constraints. Have an awareness of potential design constraints (packaging, manufacturing etc.) and ensure due consideration is given in developing solutions

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Ability to carry out development of automotive body structures using FEA, to meet defined performance targets, specifically; front , side & rear crash. Able to build crash models of whole vehicle or sub-system using the includes structure. Able to run Safety/Crash CAE analysis, summarise results and feedback conclusions to the Body CAE Crash Team & Program Leader in an efficient manner. Have an awareness of potential design constraints (packaging, manufacturing etc.) and ensure due consideration is given in developing solutions. Have adequate knowledge of automotive body structure crashworthiness and load paths Following software skill are essential: Ls-Dyna & Oasys suite (Primer, T-His, D3plot) Hyperworks (..mesh, ..graph, ..view) PC Skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Typically 3 years experience of working in the automotive industry, involved with the development of body structures and/or trims using CAE methods.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Good communication skills - both written and spoken is essential.
Familiarity and experience of working practices relating to CAE methods and processes. Familiarity and experience of CAD , Tce & Digibuck Familiarity of IT system - particularly the CAE system ie. how to submit job , etc
