The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The person be working closely with JLR CCS Test and Development engineers and provide update on the progress of the project on a day to day basis to the CCS CAE Technical Specialist. Work will entail modelling the AC pulldown performance and heater warm-up performance. Liaising with Test and Development engineers to provide feedback on the system and to collect performance data. Evaluate system components and their affects on the overall Climate system performance. Selected Engineer will need to work interactively with the team in the UK and will work onsite. Initial period will include some training to understand the processes and 1-D modelling software. Should be completing given tasks in agreed time and to required quality. Final deliverable will be made available to JLR TS and Group Leader in Climate Control Systems CAE in agreed format.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Good understanding and experience of CAE analysis techniques applied to the automotive industry. Experience of 1-D modelling and CAE analysis. Experience in 1-D modelling software is required, including software’s like GTSuite. Experience in Climate Control Systems related to air conditioning and heater circuit systems. Indepth knowledge of AC and Heater circuit components such as compressors, heat exchangers, TXV, etc. Successful delivery of project work on vehicle programmes. Proven record in CAE analysis in the automotive industry. Working knowledge of project delivery processes. Good report writing skills for CAE reports to support project milestones. Good communications skills. Experience in use of MS Office for report writing and presentation of results. Candidate would be expected to work to tight project time lines to support the programme teams.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience in the use of 1-D modelling codes and fluid flow and thermal analysis applied to Climate Control Systems Expertise with 1-D modelling codes is expected and experience in the GTSuite code is desirable
