The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Position Description:
Development of automotive body structures using FEA to meet defined performance targets specifically for side & rear crash. Able to run baseline CAE analysis, summarise results and feedback conclusions to the Body CAE Crash Team Leader in an efficient manner. Able to work effectively with design teams to develop solutions within defined deadlines and time constraints. Have an awareness of potential design constraints (packaging, manufacturing, C02 ,etc.) and ensure due consideration is given in developing solutions.

Skills Required:
Additional to the above the candidate must:
Have adequate knowledge of automotive body structure crashworthiness and load paths.
Following software skill are essential: Ls-Dyna & Oasys suite (Primer, T-HIS, D3plot) Hyperworks (..mesh, ..graph, ..view) (ver. 9) PC Skills,Word, Excel, PowerPoint."

Skills Preferred:
Good communication skills - both written and spoken is essential.
Occupant & Pedestrian.

Experience Required:
Solid experience of working in the automotive industry, involved with the development of body structures for crashworthiness using CAE methods/tool kit.

Experience Preferred:
Familiarity and experience of working practices relating to CAE methods and processes. Familiarity and experience of J, Tce & Digibuck Familiarity of JLR IT system Familiarity of Occupant & Pedestrian Analysis.

Education Required:
Ideally degree educated
