The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The vision of the department is to ensure that all customer expectations for Durability & Reliability (D&R) worldwide are met by our designs. The Vehicle Durability team are responsible for the management and delivery of the client's durability and robustness tests throughout the product development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exciting and state-of-the-art CAE method development projects
- Hands on CAE analysis of all client programmes
- Problem investigation and attribute studies using SIMPACK/ADAMS, MatLab and other tools
- Delivering Virtual RLD, Co-simulation using FMI interface between control systems and MBS
- Liaison with D&R PAT leaders in the preparation of vehicles for test, manage whole vehicle structural and high mileage durability tests, investigation and support for the various issues using CAE techniques

3 KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
1. Good knowledge of vehicle engineering including dynamics, strength and fatigue of engineering materials and the mechanics and dynamics of structural systems and a broad knowledge of Chassis, Body and Powertrain structures and major systems and their interactions.
Knowledge of FE codes like Abaqus, LS-Dyna
2. Management of projects. Excellent communication, and presentation skills.
3. Good knowledge of vehicle testing including strength & fatigue theory


Experience Required:
Good knowledge of Automotive Technologies , and experience of virtual analysis. Experience with following CAE tools is a must - CAE Tools such as Abaqus or LS-Dyna

Experience Preferred:
Hands on experience of vehicle testing for environmental, structural and system robustness verification A broad knowledge of Chassis, Body and Powertrain structures and major systems and their interactions
