The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Running Simulink-based vehicle models to predict fuel economy, emissions and vehicle performance, interpreting and reporting the results
Correlation of these models against physical test data
Development of increased fidelity and new capability in existing models
Implementing vehicle models into HiL & dyno environments, and troubleshooting their implementation
Designing and running large simulation experiments for the purposes of optimizing the sizing and calibration of hybrid electric vehicles
Translating detailed control algorithms into simplified rule-based Simulink control models and implementing into existing vehicle models
Creating bespoke Matlab-based tools for the purposes of aiding the target-setting and concept design phase of vehicle development

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Ability to model mechanical and electrical vehicle systems.
Solid understanding of vehicle systems, including hybrid technology.
Ability to design and run simulation experiments, and document / report-out findings.
Modelling of vehicle fuel economy and performance.
imulink & Stateflow modelling. Matlab coding for model automation

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Ability to design sophisticated Matlab code for processing of data, model automation, development of GUIs.
Hardware-in-the-Loop experience.
Controller design experience.
Experience in creating bespoke model-based tools and GUIs
