The Role:
CAE Engineer Working in a small CAE Team carrying out performance analysis (i.e. power/torque/fuel economy predictions) on gasoline and diesel automotive engines in support of development work. The analytical tool to be used is a cycle simulation code called WAVE (supplied by Ricardo). Output analysis will be written up and where appropriate presented to system and component engineers. Input data for the CAE models will be collected from design and test engineers.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Good working knowledge of internal combustion engines, either gasoline or diesel, with a background in engine development. Strong Team player with good communication skills.
IC engine design or development. Worked effectively in teams. Good project management, organisational and communication skills.
Degree in Mech Eng or similar relevant disciplines.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Ability to build and apply cycle simulation models (i.e. Ricardo¿s WAVE) for engine development. Application of DOE tools and techniques. To Specify and collect test data from engine dynamometers.
Application of industry standard powertrain analytical tools (MatLab, StarCD, WAVE, Modefrontier).
MSc in Automotive Engineering or PhD in relevant subject.
