The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
CFD Engineer: Thermal & Aerodynamics Systems Engineering Thermal CAE Analyst - to carry out Brakes Cooling analysis using EXA CFD CAE simulation software on client vehicle programmes.

The candidate will be a key part of the development process iterating the design of the brake cooling system to ensure delivery of thermal performance targets.

Skills Required:
Excellent understanding and working knowledge of external/under hood vehicle fluid mechanics.
CAE tool usage including Model preparation in CAD, Meshing and Post-Processing, particularly CFD is essential.
Good all-round presentation and influencing skills and able to confidently communicate with both internal and external Project Leaders and the Programme Team.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Ability to manage own work load to deliver against set performance targets and delivery deadlines.
Graduate degree in engineering including an element of CFD.
Proven experience post graduate industrial experience in an Automotive development environment.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
This role will use EXA software, training will be provided to the successful candidate, if necessary.
Understanding of Automotive (Passenger Car or Commercial Vehicle) Braking systems.
Experience of the BetaCAE ANSA meshing tool.
Experience of the application of 6-Sigma and 8D methodologies.
The successful candidate will ideally have worked on CFD in a Brake cooling context.
Familiarity with generic automotive development processes would be an advantage.
