CAE Engineer- 47585
Our Client is a large Automotive and Commercial Vehicle OEM, with a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering on a contract basis. These opportunities are typically based in their research and development facility located in Dunton which is the largest automotive technical centre in the United Kingdom.
•CAE Engineer CAE Engineer, primarily responsible for stress & modal analysis of in-house designed components, working with program & design engineers to ensure the best engineering solution.
•Would also have responsibility to review and track supplier FEA reports.
Ability to perform: - complete stress analysis of metal components - frequency modal analysis - contact analysis for joints Interpersonal skills: - being able to work as part of a design team - capable of leading discussions with suppliers on FEA analysis and application of CAE methods Organised, methodical working, capable of providing clear communications on status, results etc.
•Candidates should have experience working in a Mechanical
•Engineering activity preferably in the automotive sector
•Experience in component durability and NVH would be useful to the position.
•Candidates must have experience of CAE tools such as NASTRAN, Altair Hyperworks/OptiStruct, ABAQUS etc.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Experience in Rubber to Metal and Aluminium casting industries would be a distinct advantage
* Candidates must have a minimum of HND in Mechanical Engineering, ideally educated to Degree level
