The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The vacancy is within the recently formed Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) section of Electrical, Electronic and Software Engineering (EESE). The role is within the Forward Sensing team within ADAS which is responsible for the in-house design and development of Adaptive Cruise Control with Queue Assist, Intelligent Emergency Braking and Forward Alert features which use radar at the front of the vehicle. This role reports to the manager of the Forward Sensing team. Key Responsibilities Support & perform vehicle test and calibration development activities using laptop based development tools Support test and development activities at manufacturing plants where required Liaise with Lead and System Engineers on vehicle demands to collect and prepare test vehicles on arrival and de-prep on return. Liaise with interfacing module engineers to ensure software is at the latest level on vehicles prior to test Update radar software in vehicles where required and basic diagnosis of faults Maintain hardware and software test equipment

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience of vehicle level fault finding PC literate Familiarity with system development tools (e.g. CANalyzer / CANoe / CANape, ASL, AVD etc.) Good written and verbal communication skills. Personal drive and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Ability to generate and implement new ideas for process improvements. Ability to influence individuals / team work Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
Experience in engineering activities in the automotive sector (OEM, Tier1, Service).
Minimum HNC/HND in a relevent automotive discipline

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
An understanding of automotive quality, customer feedback and warranty metrics An appreciation of passenger vehicle Electrical Architectures Practical understanding of In-Car Networks, Diagnostics and Software Download
