The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Collating the requirements, defining and managing the tools and infrastructure for remote vehicle loggers, including automated data collection and report generation
Coordinate the EMS HIL facility and any expansion thereof
Procurement of hardware and software tools, licenses and coordinating their maintenance
Working closely with other JLR CAE teams to ensure projects and strategies align with each other.
Project planning and management
Reporting project status to the team and Powertrain Management
Working with the existing Calibration leaders and Module (PMST) Leaders to ensure the CAE and Simulation deliverables align with their delivery plans
Providing or arranging coaching and training sessions
Tool auditing and demand management
Supplier management (including financial)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Can clearly demonstrate previous project management experience, or have a relevant project management qualification (APM, Prince2, PMI etc.)
The ability to coordinate multiple concurrent projects and prioritise workload effectively
A proactive, self-starter attitude where no problem is too large to solve
Strong communication and presentation skills. Able to gain strong rapport to be able to develop and grow strategic relationships both internally and externally
The ability to deliver new technologies and changing working practices whilst overcoming any obstacles on the way
Previous Team Leadership or able to demonstrate capability in Leadership and Management skills
Educated to degree level in a suitable engineering discipline, or suitable previous experience

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
A working knowledge of the existing ETAS hardware used by the Calibration and Controls team
A detailed knowledge of engine management calibration and controls
Working knowledge of key JLR systems including PCS, RMDV and the failure mode avoidance process.
Background delivering automotive (or related) engineering design using CAE methods and tools (such as Matlab Simulink)
Experience of HIL facilities and vehicle (CAN, flexray, CCP, ETK) data loggers
