Calibration Engineer - Powertrain - 30644
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.
Calibration of Hybrid System Control Software on delivery projects developing calibrations through to mainstream projects to meet a Job#1 production date. This role involves working on developing the software and calibrating for various features and functions of the Hybrid System Software covering a number of different hybrid technology applications. Some involvement in transmissions and engine calibration may also be required. The target and calibration task differs according to the project in question. The deliverable is likely to be one or more of emissions, CO2, driveability or high voltage limit control. In order to demonstrate capability the project may involve one or more of the following, HIL rig, Powertrain test cell and vehicle. The role involves working closely with the software design team, developing and managing a calibration to meet the program targets in the required time frame.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:

1) Previous Calibration experience - transmissions, engines or hybrid
2) Automotive control system software knowledge
3) Experience of automotive attribute development which includes one of fuel economy or driveability
Previous Calibration experience - transmissions, engines, hybrid Prototype vehicle development activities Knowledge of Control Systems Full UK driving license (or equivalent to which enables UK driving) ETAS INCA or equivalent
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Hybrid Vehicle Energy Management Automotive Torque Control Development vehicle commissioning Electrical integration experience Knowledge of Project Management systems such as GPDS, GTDS, eFDVS is desirable. ROSPA or IMA driver training courses would be beneficial but not essential Prior other OEM Driver training would be beneficial but not essential Matlab / Simulink
