The Role:
To Support Development Engineering & Test operational teams implement, adapt and update Powertrain test automation software and hardware to meet Engine Dyno based Mapping Calibration requirements & program delivery. Position will support best-practice usage and configuration of engine testing software and hardware including AVL PUMA & CAMEO automation tools. To understand, realise and deliver automated testing requirements.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Enable highly efficient automated test capability.
To work with the test room to carry out re-configuration and optimisation of test bed automation software. To become a recognised expert in the usage and configuration of the AVL PUMA and CAMEO software. To configure, parameterise, execute and validate automated tests in CAMEO/PUMA. Wide operational experience of engine testing automation. Automotive test engineering background is important. Excellent diagnostic skills and an ability to work unsupervised under pressure. Good interpersonal skills with all levels of customer¿s and employer¿s staff. Communicate directly with Engineering to understand and deliver their specific engine testing requirements. Develop overall process improvement with the Test & Development considering all parameters, software configuration, and workflow. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office & I.T literate. Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience with AVL PUMA & CAMEO automation software. Engine Dynamometer based Testing & Mapping Calibration Experience
