The Role:
1. Supervise commissioning and operation of the KAZ camp to ensure all aspects of camp management meet staff expectations. Ensure Camp operations contractor has all the relevant supplier and subcontractor agreements in place in good
time, assess / audit the vendors and subcontractors
2. Inspect other camps as client may wish to use for temporary staff accommodation
3. Assist in setting up contract for longer term operation of the camp after initial 2 years
4. Manage commissioning and operation of other camps in Um Qasr and North Rumaila / Ar Ratawi
5. Coach and train (Assistant) Camp Managers (expectation that these will be Iraqi) as camp manager for the 3 camps, initially having responsibility for all locations and overseeing all of them, but developing the Assistants such that they become camp managers and take over full operation of the camps.
6. Advise on budget and budget control for the facilities.
7. Oversees compliance to all standards within the project, the local institutions, as well as national and governmental policies and requirements.
8. Acts as main liaison and coordinates with all stake holders involved in the project, including with all O&M contractors, regarding the camp programs and activities, standards and policies.
9. Manages operation of the camp management team and all activities associated with camp / camps operations.
10. Consults with Asset leadership and makes sure that camp program is aligned with Asset goals and objectives.
11. Provide operational experience in to the definition of scope and layout of extensions to any camps.
12. Organise and/or support audits of contractor camps.
13. Support and manage as required soft services for other buildings e.g. offices

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
1. Services Professional – HRM, Food and Catering, Customer Relations, Camp Management or related field
2. Extensive experience in managing expat residential areas / camps for IOC or similar organisations, in difficult locations and multi-cultural settings; meeting full “western” standards of accommodation, maintenance, food, hygiene, medical, recreation facilities,
3. Demonstrated ability to liaise with Contractor who operates the camp to ensure services and facilities are to required standard; and carry out audits and follow up as appropriate.
4. Ability to understand the complexities of all the relevant (sub-) contract and ensure these are suitable and are effectively managed.
