The Company:
Our client is one of the worlds largest providers of technical services across a wide range of sectors, including nuclear.

The Role:
• To carry out C&I (functional safety related) detailed design work in accordance to BS EN 61508/61511
• To participate in HAZOP and SIL Determination / Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA) studies.
• To develop Safety Requirements Specification (SRS).
• To Design Safety Instrumented Functions (SIF) to meet the required Safety Integrity Level (SIL) and carry out SIL verification including the calculation of the probability of failure on demand of the SIF.
• Equipment (Instrumentation and Safety System) procurement including: specification, enquiry, bid analysis & ordering.
• To develop Design Justification/Substantiation Reports
• Input to Testing and Commissioning procedures
• Vendor Supervision: Review and comment on documentation (FDS, Loop and Wiring Diagrams, Safety Manuals, FAT/SAT procedures, etc)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Knowledge and experience of Process (required) and Nuclear (desirable) industries
• Functional Safety training / certification (TÜV, IDC, Exida, Sira, etc) ) .
• Minimum of 3 years experience in the field of Functional Safety
• Control & Instrumentation experience in the design & implementation of process plant.
