The Role:
General Purpose & Objectives of the Position

The Contracts & Procurement Senior Advisor works in a the Production, HSES and Business Services environment and is accountable to the Contracts & Procurement Manager - Production, UK Business Unit with regards to the activity to be pursued and the priority of such activities. Contracts and Procurement activity shall be performed in accordance with Company Contracts & Procurement Policies and Procedures. The Production Contracts & Procurement Senior Advisor supports the Contracts and Procurement effort of Production, Logistics, HSES and Business Services related activity which shall include but not be limited to sourcing of production support goods and services, logistics requirements for land, sea and air, HSES consultancy support, IT hardware, IT software including licensing, IT consultancy Support, HR contracts and Office Services support goods and services.

Key Responsibilities

•Timely and cost efficient delivery of the procurement cycle to meet Production, HSES and Business Services activity
•Assist in securing all necessary approvals
•Development of Demand Plans
•Business Analysis – identification of key supply chains
•Lead the development of Contract strategies
•Coordinate and issue ITT’s for Production, Logistics, HSES and Business Services activities as required, evaluate quotations, risk analysis and prepare recommendations for award.
•Identifying risks imposed by suppliers / contractors and contributing to the mitigation of these risks.
•Ensure appropriate contractual arrangements are placed that satisfactorily manage Premier’s risks in the supply chain.
•Assume responsibility, in conjunction with the Operations teams, for post contract management of contracts and purchase orders through the life of such contracts.
•Promote Contractual Awareness throughout the Production, HSES and Business Services Teams
•Lead efforts to resolve contractor claims as and when they arise
•Work in conjunction with Production, HSES and Business Services personnel in the implementation of the Supplier Performance Management processes where appropriate.
•Contribute to the functional activities of the Contracts & Procurement Function within company as appropriate including reporting, functional meetings etc.
•Contribute to department records for audit trail/purposes
•Operates within standard Contracts and Procurement policies, processes and systems and ensures compliance with these processes at all times
•To perform applicable functional duties as a member of the Contracts & Procurement management team.

Key Deliverables

•Timely placement of contracts and purchase orders as required meeting the objectives of the Production, HSES and Business Services groups including schedule and budget.
•Prevent or otherwise resolve all third party claims as they arise
•Successful completion of activities of the Production, HSES and Business Services efforts under responsibility of the position
•Compliance with Company functional process and procedure

Major Challenges

Gaining the support and confidence of an changing production team and production philosophy within the BU
Promoting and implementing the Contracts & Procurement philosophies within the BU
Delivering the very heavy workload envisaged to meet the needs of Production, HSES and Business Services

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Preferably QS, Business, Law or technical degree
•CIPS Professional Qualification
•Senior experience in C&P Oil and Gas
•Confident, excellent communications skills. Good team player
•In depth knowledge of best practice within C&P area
