The Company:
Our client is a leading global oil and gas operating company.

The Role:
SCOPE: The Cost Engineering services act as the Company Representative to the Contractor for multiple projects in the $5MM to $100MM range, or for a single project exceeding $100MM in scope. The Cost Engineer is directly accountable to the Project Controls Supervisor, Project Lead and Portfolio Manager, providing Cost Control and Cost Management deliverables to the Project Team. The Cost Engineer is functionally accountable to the Project Controls Supervisor. The Cost Engineer may be responsible for ensuring the Project Team follows the corporate and the Company Cost Control standards and procedures, and performing cost audits using the cost audit checklist.

Deliverables:
Cost Administration
• Coordinate and track the preparation of project funding documents.
• Coordinate the preparation and approval of contractor Service Purchase Orders (SPO) to authorize work.
• Review/approve contractor cost/progress reports.
• Analyze contractor-prepared cost performance reports using Earned Value methods.
• Develop total project cost, performance, and forecast reports for review by project team.
• Review project invoices/charges for approval.
• Develop monthly cash flow report and variance analyses.
• Develop monthly WIP (VOWD) and prepare the monthly Accrual
• Ensure all contracts and WBS elements are closed at project/phase completion.
• SAP Knowledge required.

Change Management
• Coordinate and expedite the preparation and approval of project change management documents.
• Ensure all approved and pending changes are incorporated into the project plan/forecast.

Other
• Communicate scope, schedule or cost risk/opportunity variances and recommend alternatives in a timely manner.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree
Minimum of 5 years experience
