The Company:
Our client is a global operator with exploration and production assets worldwide to include multiple developments in the North Sea and NCS. To assist in a strategic review of current supply chain operations and investment in asset optimisation we are looking to identify an procurement specialist with offshore and operational experience to undertake the role of Category Lead in a staff role to be located in Aberdeen.

The Role:
The successful candidate will be tasked with the following activities:

• Oversee the smooth running of the procurement process and category supply chain management within production operations, wells and offshore project activity
• Manage the day to day procurement cycle for high value equipment and service contract ensuring delivery against cost, quality and schedule
• Ensure compliance to corporate policies, procedures and
• Participate in strategic review of supply chain processes with an emphasis on establishing value through long term sourcing initiatives
• Manages contract with major suppliers, customers, third parties, and/or company subcontractors
• Monitor leakage and utilization reports to ensure vendor agreements are maintained and that projected spend targets are met.
• Analyze contractual/commitment processes
• Initiate, lead and participate in new initiatives focused on accessing technological/operational efficiencies
• Developing comprehensive sets of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) or a Service Level Agreement (SLA)
• Summarize and report vendor performance (KPI’s) highlights to management and client groups

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
We are therefore looking to receive applications from candidates with the following skills and experience:

• Degree or equilevant education accreditation
• Eligibility to work in the EU/UK
• Extensive oil and gas experience to include offshore UK project experience
• Previous employment with an oil and gas contractor (essential) and Operator (preferred)
• Proven track record in delivering cost reduction and supply chain improvements via spend and strategic review projects
• Previous contract analyst experience
