Our global leading client is seeking highly skilled, experienced & capable contract international employees to work on a large multinational complex oil & gas project.
The Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Catregory Lead. This role requires a deep understanding of the market for Rotating category engineered equipment supply for the oil and gas industry. An engineering background would be an advantage but not essential. The role requires the successful candidate to lead a team in the PSCM organisation and to work collaboratively with the deployed PSCM team leads and engineering and construction specialists supporting AGT’s major projects. Key responsibilities are outlined below:
Roles & Responsibilities
Develops Sourcing Strategies for the supply of all Rotating category engineered equipment for all AGT major projects, in consultation with Engineering and Project Management.
Assures compliance to all Client segment defined practices (OMS, Major Projects common process (MPcp) and Category Management), policies and procedures including the Code of Conduct, Anti Bribery and Anti Corruption.
Assures compliance with the AGT major projects Procurement approved procedures, (which support OMS, MPcp and Category Management.)
Assures full support of Category Management and utilisation of Global Agreements, to help leverage global scale, in particular with regard to the Rotating Equipment Initiative (REI).
Responsible for supervision of all aspects of the Procurement execution process, including the issue of Requests For Information; Requests For Proposals, evaluation and Request For Approval issue; Purchase Order issue; approval of changes and issue of Change Orders; resolution of issues through to delivery and close out.
Ensures delivery of Rotating category engineered equipment through working with the Expediting, Inspections, Materials and Logistics team within Procurement, as well as with Engineering and other project interfaces.
Supervises and motivates the Rotating category team, located in various offices, through regular meetings and ensures that priorities are established and understood, plus the correct allocation of work within the team.
Supports the Engineered Equipment Team Leader in Procurement, providing regular reporting; input to key issues; setting and monitoring Key Performance Indicators and input to risk management.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Education:
Technical or Business degree
PSCM certification (MCIPS or equivalent)
Experience:
Deep competency in Procurement and Supply Chain Management
Oil and Gas industry PSCM experience
Proven ability to effectively manage a team of professionals
