The Role:
Your Responsibilities :

- E.ON-wide management for all strategic procurement activities on international procurement markets for the respective category (Combined Heat & Power (CHP) Engines / Generating Sets and associated services),
including tendering, bid evaluation, negotiation and contract management.
- Working closely with the technical expert in cross-functional category teams, including shared responsibility to achieve common goals.
- In alignment with cross divisional business plans and in conjunction with the clients Corporate Procurement function, establish a dedicated supply chain management process for CHP.
- Defining, analytical development, continuous adaptation and implementation of the category procurement strategy.
- On going development of the category regarding the realization of potential savings, business process improvement, standardization of specifications, development of partnerships, increasing levels of automation, etc.
- Development, negotiation, and conclusion of group-wide framework contracts, enabling volume bundling and simplified order processing for regional procurement as well as transfer of the framework
agreements in national and international contexts.
- Optimization of the supplier portfolio (vendor consolidation, development and management).
- Lead or participate in category-specific deep dives to identify potential cost savings, drive the implementation of the identified savings measurers, and monitor of the aspired potentials.
- Ensuring that compliance requirements within the procurement process are met throughout the group for all products within the category

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- A strong background in purchasing, with an excellent technical understanding of the main components of the systems (i.e. gas engines, heat exchangers, pipework, ducts, electrical installation etc), as well as a good overview of the
relevant supplier markets.
- Educated in engineering to degree level is preferred, but alternative qualifications will be considered.
- Methodical and analytical engineering knowledge with a strong understanding of the design, development and use of modern procurement processes, structures, and analysis tools.
- Experience in drafting and negotiating value-maximizing contracts would be advantageous.
- A pragmatic approach, combined with solution-oriented analytical skills, plus the ability to work as part of an international team.
- Excellent negotiation and conflict management skills.
- Fluent German and English language skills are required, with additional languages of benefit.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
