The Company:
Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide

The Role:
Specific responsibilities and duties associated with the position include, but not limited to,:
• Participate in tender negotiations and preparation of pre contract documentation with potential key suppliers during the tendering phase especially target projects for those commodities under their remit
• Coordination of/and reviewing subsequent quotations for those commodities under their remit
• The preparation and distribution of sourcing proposals for any given tender and/or project for those commodities under their remit
• Evaluation of market, industry and commodity trends for those commodities under their remit
• Identify best practice techniques for those Categories under their remit
• Drafting of subcontract agreements to meet the demands of the business
• Undertake and lead risk review analysis for any given commodity
• Provide statistical information as and when required for those commodities under their remit.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• MCIPS Qualified
• A proven track record of benefits delivery through the application of strategic sourcing techniques
• Experience in supporting negotiating teams and applying appropriate fact-based tactics and techniques to achieve optimal outcomes
• Good communication skills
• Good team working ability
• Good understanding of contract negotiations and contract law
• A proven track record in working in a civil and/or cable installation and/or electrical installation environment.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree educated
• Experience working in a Purchasing Manager or Senior Buyer role
• Experience in working in a Project Engineering Environment
