The Role:
Responsible to the Engineering Manager for the completion of all contract technical certification/close-out activities. Specifically this encompasses the supervision and direction of the delivery of all certification/close-out activities to ensure asset and technical integrity requirements are met to the client's complete satisfaction. To work with the client on the Integrity Management system and to promote awareness and relevant compliance within the company.
◦Accountable for driving a service driven, efficient and effective certification/close-out group to support the technical and operational integrity requirements required from the certification/close-out process.
◦Work with the client to integrate both the client and the company's certification/close-out process.
◦Must understand and promote awareness of asset, technical and operational integrity and the important role that certification/close-out plays in maintaining this.
◦Compile information on Closeout Service Performance through the delivery of Management data and Contract Key Performance Indicators.
◦Provide Service to Engineering Manager on delivery of efficient and effective Close-out Service.
◦Provide primary point of contact for technical certification/close-out activity to the client's management and approval staff.
◦Provision of regular status reports indicating current progress and key timescale objectives for all contract technical close-out dossiers.
◦Development and implementation of contract technical close-out registration and progress reporting tools and procedures.
◦Provide primary point of contact for technical close-out activity to IVB representative.
◦Daily management of all contract technical certification/close-out activity.
◦Manage delivery to budget and schedule.
◦Have an understanding of the commercial aspects of the close-out process and maintain direct communication with the commercial group to support delivery of Commercial KPI's.
◦Selection and recruitment of technical certification/close-out personnel.
◦Ensure all member of the certification/close-out group understand their individual roles and responsibilities, and also those of their colleagues.
◦Provide primary point of contact for technical certification/close-out activity to management and site based staff.
◦Development and implementation of company standards and procedures relating to the compilation of technical close-out documentation.
◦Ensure that all work completed in accordance with the relevant client and industry specifications and standards.
◦To develop and further improve the Certification/Closeout Process and work with Client to get an Integrated Plan Closeout Process and incorporate process into the Management System. Thereby ensuring all close-out work is controlled in accordance with both company and client's QA procedures.
◦Ensuring the amendment and maintenance of clients in-house document management database is completed to client satisfaction.
◦Organisation and presentation of final technical close-out dossiers to client for approval and signoff.
◦Promote and support continuous improvement activities throughout the certification/close-out group

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree Level in an Engineering Discipline or relevant experience as indicated below.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Able to demonstrate a broad multi-discipline understanding of all aspects of delivery of projects, combined with experience in staff selection and their day-to-day supervision. Preferably have knowledge of the Guidance on Certification (GOC) system.
