The Company:
Our client operates in the oil and gas sector.

The Role:
Reporting to the Commissioning and start-up manager the candidate will be responsible for the delivery of the project's discipline commissioning activities summarised as follows:

During EXECUTE stage.
•Manage all certification and completions management systems (CMS) related activities


During OPERATE stage.
•Ensure that final commissioning certification and documentation is collated and archived.

Key accountabilities: The Certification Engineer shall:
• Coordinate development of System and Sub-system boundary limits by the Commissioning Authority.
• Receive and validate required record sets for entry into the CMS.
• Enter or overseeing entry of data into the CMS.
• Ensure all equipment has been allocated with the correct check sheets
• Ensure all certification is attached to the relevant systems and sub-systems
• Maintain integrity of the CMS dataset, having custody and responsibility to ensure the data in the CMS is current. The Lead Certification Engineer is the only person that will be allowed full administration to the CMS.
• Be responsible for any changes to the CMS database e.g. systemisation, additional tags, deleted tags, additional certification, deleted certification, which will be captured in the HCR register.
• Ensure the status of all engineering changes are monitored in the CMS, and correctly assigned to systems/sub-systems.
• Verification and auditing of the GOC process.
• Oversee compilation of system handover pack and associated documentation.
• Verify certification is properly signed off and data is entered into CMS database upon certificate completion.
• Be responsible for daily report functions, completion status, the management of punch list database, the preservation/maintenance functions etc.
• Be responsible for training of site personnel in the use of the CMS and their limitations within the system.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Can demonstrate HSSE leadership
•Detailed knowledge and experience of
-Commissioning engineering and commissioning certification systems
-Commissioning and handover procedures.
-Site integrity management (IM) standards and the application of IM to commissioning
-Operating strategy and operations goals
•Ability to work with interdisciplinary teams and communicate with discipline engineers.
•A proven decisive and proactive team player with good communications skills.
•Previous experience of working in fabrication yard
•Broad knowledge of commissioning and the engineering design process
•Ability to work away from home assignment.
•Ability to work extended periods of time away from home.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
•Previous knowledge and experience of working with GOC
•Previous experience of working in construction yards in Far East
•Basic Offshore Induction and Safety Emergency Testing (BOISET) and Health certification for offshore working will be required before offshore mobilisation
•Previous supervisory experience
