The Company:
The company designs, constructs, transports, installs and removes offshore facilities for the global oil and gas industry. During the last decades they have become a significant international player in the offshore oil and gas construction industry. The Group consists of two divisions, each with a specific role in the activities of the Group

The Role:
Function:

- To provide a complete service in all matters related to materials and project documentation.


Responsibilities:
- Adherence to Company Policy and procedures
- Quality, safety, health and environmental awareness (e.g. responsible for own and others safety).
- To perform tasks which may be requested by Management.
- To operate within the Company, Quality, Safety, Health, Environmental systems and programmes.
- To perform tasks delegated by the Quality Control Manager.
- To identify and report possible problems to the Quality Control Manager and recommend possible solutions for such problems.
- To review and approve material certification on purchased material.
- To review and subsequently report to the Quality Control Manager any material certificates that do not meet the project or Company requirements.
- To review and file Internal Release Certificates (IRCs) for client free issue material.
- To process, record and distribute overage, shortage and damage reports.
- To file and record non-conformance reports (NCR’s).
- To file and record Site Queries (TQ’s).
- To file and record Welding Inspector Site Visit Reports and Release Notes.
- To liaise with and collect from departments within HHL data for the manufacturing record books.
- To compile Manufacturing Record Books (MRB’s) in accordance with GP-12-05.
- To liaise with the sub contract engineer in order to expedite and collate data from sub-
contractors and suppliers as identified in the purchase order / sub contract and SDRL
and ensure that it is checked by the appropriate HHL engineer/inspector prior to
inserting into the MRB and or OIM.
- To liaise with appropriate client in order to have the MRB’s and or OIM’s approved.
- Arrange with outside agency to have all MRB’s copied onto CD complete with a hypo-linked index.
- Be aware of Individual risk awareness within job role

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Successful SHE Induction.
- Engineering Materials Science or equivalent qualifications.
- Minimum of 1 years experience as a Certification Engineer in an offshore/construction environment.
- Communicate in a positive manner with all departmental personnel.
- Communicate in a positive manner with third party inspectors and client representative.
- Working knowledge of Coresys production control system, Microsoft Word, Excel & Access and Co-console completions data base.
- An understanding of Company Quality, Safety, Health & Environmental systems and programmes.
- Planning & Organisational skills that enable the implementation of duties and the Company strategies in a timely manner.
- A comprehensive knowledge of national material standards e.g. BS EN 10225.
