The Company:
Subsidiary of major energy company, operating offshore gas fields and onshore gas processing terminals.

The Role:
Our client requires a Change & Communications Advisor to join their HR team, reporting to the Head of HR.

Create attractive and various communications media to inform employees, using various methods and channels to enable consistent communications across all sites, in alignment with communications strategy and plan.

Create and cultivate a personal network of contacts throughout the organisation to aid assessment of the “organisation’s mood”, to help monitor communications effectiveness and to assist with managing misperception and rumour during change, (by conducting temperature checks).

To proactively work with many and varied work teams at all levels within the business, understanding their needs and issues, to help them design, implement and manage innovative changes (whether of large or small magnitude) using a variety of management of change techniques to ensure the teams rapidly work through the “change cycle” and translate innovation into “business as usual” with minimal disruption.

Capture and manage key information for change/HR activities to identify duplication in effort/ value / development of project and people activities so that activities are controlled in an organised manner, preparing management reports as necessary to measure the effectiveness of the change competence and aiding effective action plans to be established where required.

Create and monitor progress plans to capture all engineering / operational and people activities to allow proactive intervention, analysis and ensure the value at stake is continuously realised.

Audit processes, systems and procedures relating to the Change Programme to ensure quality assurance standards have been met.

Manage defined contract and third party relationships.

Acts as conduit for local PR activities and assists with development of media plan for EIS to ensure a high/positive profile is maintained.

Travel to other locations may be required including offshore visits.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualified to NVQ IV or equivalent in an appropriate subject.
Understands the principles of change management.
IT Literate with experience of Microsoft Office.
Interpersonal Understanding.
Ability to influence employees at all levels within the business.
Effective Communicator both oral and written with good organisational skills.
Research Skills.
Effective Networker.
Analysis of Data and Management Reporting.
Working as Part of Team, must also have the ability to work on own initiative.
High levels of energy and enthusiasm for the Energy Industry and ‘Change’ activities.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Degree Qualified in an appropriate subject.
Project Managemen.
Commercial Awareness.
Managing Information.
Managing People indirectly.
Presentation skills with the confidence to present to different size and levels of groups.
