The Role:
The role holder is responsible for the overall performance of activities for the Riser Platform Change Control function encompassing Design Change Requests (DCRs), Variation Orders Requests (VORs), Variation Orders (VOs), Technical Queries (TQs) and Non-Conformance Requests (NCRs).

This role has a direct reporting line to the Riser Platform Project Controls Manager with an operational reporting line to the project Change Control Manager and a functional reporting line to the local Corporate Manager for Change Management.

Main tasks:

• Ensure that described routines and systems contribute to an efficient and quality assured Change Control function

Organisation:

• Take personal responsibility for HSE by focusing on own behaviour
• Ensure establishment and maintenance of an efficient Change Control organisation for the platform as an integrated part of the overall project Change Control function, with clear responsibilities, authorities and reporting lines
• Ensure integration with the project Change Control function and good liaison with the rest of the project organisation.
• Manage the Change Control organisation on the Riser Platform.
• Contribute to a good working environment in the Change Control group on the project through close communication and cooperation.
• Work alongside the Corporate Manager for Change Management to develop the discipline in London
• Obtain detailed knowledge of the contract and relevant work processes
• Ensure that all changes in scope of work/contract are handled in accordance with the contract requirements and in alignment across the project organisation
• Ensure that change mechanisms and requirements of the contract are clear and understood in the project organisation.
• Act as user support for Change Control System (CCS) and provide training as required
• Establish project reporting routines as required towards the platform organization
• Liaise with Engineering Management and Engineering teams to facilitate the timely receipt of information required to maintain effective Change Control

Scope of work / contract:

• Contribute to the maintenance of a high level of commercial awareness across the project if required, establish platform specific Work Instructions within the field-wide framework procedures

Execution:

• Ensure that Change Control is performed effectively and efficiently within the platform organization in accordance with and in support of the established, field wide Change Control procedures
• Ensure the required level of focus in maintained on internal changes as well as contractual changes
• Prepare VORs and VO estimates for platform related issues
• Manage the Riser Platform elements of the Change Control System including system administration for users within the Riser Platform team.
• Follow up formal instructions and VOs from Company through establishment of DCRs and VORs as required
• Support engineering in formal correspondence with Company to ensure effective scope management is achieved
• Support procurement in the handling of Supplier VORs
• Manage Change Control in accordance with the established Change Control System on the project
• Manage registers of all identified Changes
• Ensure that the planning, cost and risk groups are involved in the change process as required
• Run the platform Change Board meetings
• Manage the communication of platform change to project personnel through presentations and reports

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Good general IT knowledge, experience of use of database applications and use of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
• Relevant experience in a structured project management environment
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
• Previous experience of working in large teams and managing personnel
• Relevant engineering degree
