The Company:
Our Client was established in 2004, for the planning, design, procurement, construction, delivery, and asset management of ALL infrastructure projects and public buildings in Qatar, key responsibilities include governing the design, construction, and management of major projects including roads, drainage and buildings such as public buildings, schools and hospitals.

The Role:
For the Chartered Quantity Surveyor the duties and services to be provided by the specified seconded staff are to be generally but not limited to all facets of the Quantity Surveyor profession but with particular reference to:
• Establishing and operating cost and financial control systems
• Preparation and update of elemental and detail cost plans.
• Tender evaluation
• Cost monitoring and reporting
• Measuring, assessing and valuing variations and review on claims
• Final settlement claims and assist in contract close-out procedures
• Project valuation at forfeiture, interim and final accounts
• Advice on cost management and value management
• Interpreting and offering advice on contracts.
• Ensuring contractual notices and client entitlement are properly administrated
• Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks, performing risk and value management and cost control.
• Advice on contractual and planning issues
• Propose implements and changes to the procurement and tendering procedure, when necessity arises.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Should have a BSc degree in QS from recognized university with a minimum of 12 years industrial experience with MRICS or MAIQS professional qualification.

*Shall in addition to MRICS or MAIQS professional qualification, have minimum of 12 years demonstrable post graduate experience in all facets of the Quantity Surveying profession; all of which shall have been applicable to the capacity of a professional Quantity Surveyor working in a professional Consultancy practice or Employers’ organisation.
* Extensive knowledge and experience in procurement methods for consultancy and construction contracts as well as International contracting conditions and laws.
* Preferably, have minimum 3 years’ experience in the gulf region.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
MUST be fully computer literate and able to utilize related computer software applications.
MUST be fluent in English, both written and spoken, with an excellent capability in technical report writing skills as well as oral and written communication skills.
