The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Working within the Suspension Systems Tuning Group, the Project Engineer
- is responsible for the delivery of components including.
Damper, Spring & Stabiliser Bar Systems, within the SST department.
Engineer is responsible for achieving performance targets to facilitate meeting dynamic and durability requirements.
Close interaction is required across suspension teams, other chassis functions and suppliers in order to achieve this.

Key Responsibilities
- Working with Subject Matter Expert to improve, FMEA's, Engineering Standards & Design Rules.
- Support new technology investigations and raise appropriate documentation to support.
- Ensure components meet or exceed performance targets.
- Ensure components adhere to departmental standards.
- Delivery of Timing Plans and Design Verification Plans (DVP).
- Support of Chassis Integration and Vehicle Dynamics.
- Supplier discussions and communications.
- Resolution of engineering issues through correct process (AIMS)
- Working with other team members and supporting the Module Leader as required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge of chassis suspension
- Proven ability to deliver robust, high performance engineering, against a fixed timeframe
- Effective communication and team working skills
-Experience of component design to deliver performance attributes (durability, stiffness, weight, cost)
- Proven ability to deliver against a fixed timeframe.
- Supplier management and control
-Engineering degree (preferably Mechanical or Automotive)

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Understanding of Catia V5 vehicle modelling systems.
- Proven problem solving skills / use of DMAIC tools preferable
