Position Required Chemical Supervisor
Reports to (Position) Technical Services Team Leader


Job Description/Major Duties (general job functions, responsibilities, day-to-day tasks & activities)
The Chemical Supervisor will be responsible of identifying, scoping, prioritizing, and directing various chemical improvements, responsible of the optimization projects for Mukhaizna Operations department, as well as supervising a team of Chemical Specialists and Chemical Engineers.
The Chemical Supervisor responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
• Management of water treatment plants production chemistry issues related to warm lime softeners & SAC units including scaling & corrosion.
• Specialized in flow assurance technology; identify and manage any flow assurance issues.
• Give independent advice on chemical vendor performance, contracts & chemical costs.
• Initiate and manage technical studies with external contractors and consultants.
• Develop and implement production optimization opportunities as identified.
• Liaise with all operations process and support teams to identify and implement projects that will reduce chemical and process operating costs and improve process efficiency.
• Organize and prioritize projects based on field priorities and carry through projects from initiation to implementation.
• Work with Operations Teams to optimize chemical programs.
• Identify scope, prioritize and direct specialty chemical programs.
• Create timelines and reports for the various chemical and optimization projects.
• Work with chemical vendor(s) to find cost effective solutions to Operations problems and implement those solutions.
• Oversee and direct the work of Chemists, Chemical Specialists, Engineers and technicians assigned to projects within the group.
• Request specific analyses from Mukhaizna and outside labs in order to identify root cause of operations problems.
• Interpret the lab results for Operations Teams.
• Advise Mechanical Integrity Team on chemical treating, failure analysis, inspections, material selection, cathodic protection, monitoring, and maintenance related to corrosion of surface and down hole equipment in the field.
• Develop, manage and maintain chemical specialty and bulk chemical contracts.
• Develop, manage, execute and maintain field wide corrosion monitoring plan.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Requirements (Education required, background, experience, skills)
• Bachelor or Master Degree, preferred in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in chemical treatment programs in oil and Gas industry.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and implement field improvement and production optimization projects
• Ability to mentor and train employees.
• Proficient in the use of computer applications including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to interact with multi disciplined teams like Operations, Facilities Engineering, Construction, and Reservoir Management Teams.
